Because of many fraudulent cases that they are facing such as illegal gambling, bank fraud, and money laundering, the Federal Bureau of Investigation seized the Pokerstars along with Absolute poker and Full tilt poker. Because of this scenario, the world of online gambling has been shocked and has brought negative effects not only in online poker but in online gambling world. Online casino players didn't think that the most reputed poker site would be facing these kinds of circumstances and would be in deep trouble today.
Now that the justice department gave Pokerstars the access to its domain name together with Full tilt poker to cash out and totally to ban U.S. players to play, what will be the future of this site? Would it be able to gain the reputation it has before? Because majority of their players were all from the United States and their loss will be a great agony for the poker site and will definitely decrease their popularity.
In United States, Pokerstars was very popular since they were the largest online poker site that operates in the States. But now they are no longer allowed to operate and serve American customers because of the crimes that the founder of the site are facing. The Nevada committee will discuss a poker bill regarding to online poker and this will put PokerStars in a high risk, because it will strip off the protection of the site from the original bill that protects them way back when they were still operating in U.S.
No one can tell what will be the future of Pokerstars.com now that they are in big trouble right now, and it will surely a difficult task for them to get back from where they have been and the worst, they might not be able to regain the reputation and trust they've got before. But the important thing is, they have already been known for being one of the most reputable poker sites in the world and I think that's one of the major factors that they will be using for them to be able to get what have been lost.
